In April 1956, the Montrose Minute Men ordered a brand-new Ford Ambulance from The House of Seibert in Ohio — fully equipped and ready to serve — for a grand total of $7,200.00. To make it happen, our community came together in true Montrose fashion — going house to house to raise the $1,000 down payment. Montrose Minute Men Underwater Crew
The Montrose Minute Men once had an Underwater Rescue Crew, which began in 1962. From diving into lakes to recover victims to assisting with complex rescues, these brave volunteers extended our lifesaving mission beyond the roads and into the water.
