In April 1956, the Montrose Minute Men ordered a brand-new Ford Ambulance from The House of Seibert in Ohio — fully equipped and ready to serve — for a grand total of $7,200.00.

To make it happen, our community came together in true Montrose fashion — going house to house to raise the $1,000 down payment.

From those door-to-door efforts to today’s subscription drives, our mission has always been the same: neighbors helping neighbors.

And as we look ahead to a major anniversary milestone, we’re reflecting on just how far we’ve come — and how much this community continues to make possible.
